CNC Solid Carbide 3 Flutes Up-cut Spiral Chip Breaker Roughing Router Bit

This chip breaker CNC router bits feature three flutes and break up the chips as they cut by including wide-spaced serrations in the flutes. These bits fall in between a rougher and a finisher spiral and are an excellent choice when higher CNC feed rates are required in hardwoods, plywood, and dense materials.

Chip breaker design is available with 'Up-Cut' or 'Down-Cut', also Compression.

• Up-Cut spirals pull chips toward the shank. they are commonly used for dadoing or mortising with smooth flat bottoms.
• Down-Cut spirals push chips away from the shank. They are commonly used in laminated, veneer, or inlay applications and produce a clean-finished surface. Not for router table use.
• Compression spirals, mostly used in CNC applications, are a combination of up and down shear flutes to eliminate chipping on both sides of laminated materials or double-sided veneers for a fine finish.
